The draft We Are Walsall 2040 borough plan sets out the following vision:
‘Walsall will be a place where people are proud to live and residents and businesses work with public services to create a thriving borough of opportunity.’
The draft strategy consists of four ambitions and under each three themes of focus.
Ambition 1: We are thriving and happy
- Child friendly borough
- Empowered communities
- Feeling safe
Ambition 2: We are healthy and well
- Living active lives
- A community that cares
- Good mental wellbeing
Ambition 3: Prosperous and innovative
- Quality homes
- A strong economy for all
- Connected borough
Ambition 4: Proud of our borough
- Clean and green borough
- Celebrating our culture and heritage
- Vibrant towns
The ‘We will’ and ‘So you can’ statements
The draft borough plan features ‘we will’ statements that set out what WAW 2040 partner organisations will do to achieve the outcomes for each of the four strategic ambitions.
The draft borough plan also features 'so you can' statements that refer to what WAW 2040 partner organisations expect residents and communities to do for themselves by working with us to create a borough they are all proud of.
